Tag Time

I'm fighting off a cold that I've had since last Wednesday.  I think I'm starting to feel better, but I'm not sure yet.  None the less, apparently being sick does not cramp my creativity.  I managed to craft five tags today before I just got too tired to continue.  All the papers used are from K & Company.  I'm not sure which line as I found the paper in a pile of scraps from a few months ago!  Time to use those up!

I made the flower embellishment using my new Sizzix Big Kick and the Tattered Flower Garland die from Tim Holtz's Alterations line.  I'm LOVING the Big Kick.  I wish I hadn't waited so long to get one!

My son's friend recently celebrated a birthday.  This is the card I made for him, using the Cogsmo line from Cosmo Cricket.

Mojo Monday 300 Take Two!

Okay, so I decided to make another one!  Same design template, but this time I used Graphic 45's Steampunk Spells collection.  Fun stuff!!

Mojo Monday 300 and Bohemian Bazaar

Of late, things have been pretty crazy in Paper Over Shoes land.  I'm thrilled that I finally found some free time to sit down and craft something.  This week Mojo Monday was celebrating their 300th design challenge with several prizes up for grab.  I just had to enter!  Here's the design:

And here's what I came up with!  I finally got to play with the Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar paper and embellishments that I won back in May!  I'm really loving the color scheme in this particular collection and had a lot of fun picking and choosing which to use in this card.

Father's Day Cards

Father's Day is here!  This card was made using my Perfect Layers tools and the Key Lime collection by Bo Bunny.  I really love the colors on these papers!

Peacock Card

Here's  a card I created using my Perfect Layers tools and the Violet Leaf stack from DCWV.  I stamped the peacock in teal chalk ink and used markers to color in the white spaces with green and add purple accents.  I'm really pleased with how this one came out!

Mojo Monday 296

 So, I've discovered the Mojo Monday Blog!  Every Monday the folks at Mojo Monday issue a new sketch challenge.  This card is my first entry.  I used DCWV's Violet Leaf collection and stamps from Studio 112 and Recollections. I colored the dragonfly in with markers and highlighted it with a Gelly Roll Stardust pen. I really like how this one turned out!  

Celebrate

Here's a birthday card crafted from Basic Grey's Shine On collection.  I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.  Can't wait to see my dad's face when he opens it. :)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. :)  Here are a couple of Mom's Day cards I crafted for the occasion.  I used Basic Grey's Serendipity collection for these. 

Here are a couple of cards I've made in the past couple of weeks.  The birthday card was made with DCWV's Mango Frost collection, and the other card was made with the Spring Fling collection by Teresa Collins.  I'm pretty happy with how these turned out, especially the birthday card.  The flower was made by embossing the images on white paper, and then I used Faber Castell Gelato medium to color them in.  I'll be experimenting more with those in the future.  They're a pretty versatile medium.

Tagging Scraps

I had a bunch of scraps left after making cards for my husband and son.  So, I did what I always do when I've got leftover paper--make tags!  Below are a few of the several I made today.

A good friend of mine celebrated her birthday today, so I crafted this card for her from Basic Grey's Lauderdale card kit.  I livened it up a little with liberal use of glitter pens and bling. I don't think I'm capable of making a card without bling.  It might be my trademark. . .

It’s time for a catch-up post!  The holiday season was awfully busy, and a shoveling accident messed my wrist up enough that I wasn't able to craft for a while.  I did manage to craft a journal for a friend’s birthday back in December, and a Valentine card or two.  This week I spent some time making tags, so here are pictures of those, too.
